8月31日，据电影守望者余泳消息，北京电影学院教授司徒兆敦于31日凌晨去世，享年85岁。
司徒兆敦1959年考入北京电影学院导演系，毕业后留校任教，他致力于纪录片在中国的普及和发展，被誉为中国纪录片之父，还拍摄过电影《竹》《青山夕照》《父子婚事》。
