近日，古天乐在接受访问时，谈及自己做慈善的契机，称因四川地震开始做慈善，当时他来到灾区探访，对身边的人说：“当我走下山，我一定会全力帮助这里的居民。”古天乐的慈善行动持续十余年，他捐建超139所山区学校，默默资助患病同行、扶持香港电影行业，但是极少主动宣扬善举。
